Early detection of cognitive decline:
Helping people understand their risk for dementia by conducting cognitive screenings in community settings.
Primary prevention of dementia:
Helping people reduce their risk of dementia via behavioral interventions that promote cardiovascular and cognitive health.
Secondary prevention of dementia:
Helping people reduce their risk of dementia via behavioral interventions that teach strategies to compensate for memory loss.
We partnered with local community organizations to conduct cognitive screenings in over 300 older adults living in Central Ohio to examine the associations among cognitive function, attitudes about participating in research, and social determinants of health.

Inspire Her is an upcoming 6-month, randomized controlled, multidomain lifestyle intervention that will examine cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome in women living in Birmingham, AL.
Food & Fitness with Medicine is a 6-month, randomized controlled, multidomain lifestyle intervention examining cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome and cognitive health in postmenopausal women who have recently begun taking GLP-1 receptor agonist medications.
